Don’t be afraid to bid at Auction! Like any activity, if you haven’t done it before, it can be a bit intimidating. But auctions are fun and friendly; it is easy to participate -- just be aware of a few of the Auction Rules and Procedures.

Auction Information

• You must be registered to bid on an item at Auction. Registration is simple and can be done at any time before or during the auction. We encourage you to register before the auction starts -- if you wait to register during an auction, you might miss an item you want to buy.

bidTo Register:

• You must provide your full name, phone number and street address.

• You must be at least 18 years old.

• You must provide us with a valid driver’s license or government issued i.d. (which we may copy).

• Auction items are sold “As Is, Where Is.” That means that Auction House 109 does not guarantee the condition or workability of an item in auction. We try to assure that we only accept quality items for auction but we cannot make any guarantees with regard to items consigned to auction.

• Items for which you are the successful bidder must be paid for on the day of the sale and should be removed on the day of the auction sale. If you are not able to take your large items on the day of the sale, you must pick them up by 3:00 p.m. on the first business day after the close of the auction.

• You may bid on items by phone. Phone bidders must leave a contact number and be available when the item on which they are bidding is auctioned. If you are not available by phone on our first effort to contact you, we will not be able to call back.

• You may leave a silent bid on an item. If you are the successful bidder, you will be charged the price the item sold for up to the full amount of the bid you left.  The item might sell for less than your full bid.


• We try to have your items posted and available for payment shortly after your successful bid; while technology has improved, it may take several minutes after your successful bid for it to be available for payment.

• There is a Buyer’s Premium on all auction items. The Buyer's Premium is 13%; if you pay by cash or check, you receive a 3% discount for the Buyer’s Premium.

• Auction House 109 accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard & Discover.

• The tax rate in Colorado Springs is 8.254% on all items sold at auction. For tax-exempt sales, you must present a current tax license and certify that you are not purchasing for personal or a taxable use.

• You only need to pay for your items after you have finished bidding. We encourage you to keep the items you purchase in a safe place. Auction House 109 is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to items purchased at auction.

• Phone and silent bidders must leave a valid credit card for payment on the auction day if they are the successful bidder.
